T.0. Morrow,
the author of S*x with the Universe and founder of Reëcreational Theology, lives to spread the good news about Universal S*x.
Where did T.0. Morrow come from?
To safely manage dangerous materials like red-hot iron or radioactive fuel rods, engineers use masks, shields, and remotely controlled manipulators. T.0. Morrow (T0M to friends) does the same for potentially dangerous ideas. The name thus serves less as a nom de plume than a convenient label for a programmatic approach to intellectual challenges, at once fearlessly creative, cautiously scientific, and (some might say) recklessly optimistic.
Morrow first appeared in 1988 to help deliver the message of Extropianism to a ripe and waiting world. After Extropy magazine and its associated institute ran their course, T0M disappeared from public life. He (a merely conventional usage) spent the next several decades exploring the farthest frontiers of theology. T0M has now returned with an exciting discovery about the generic original designer (GOD) of our universe.
Why did T0M write S*x with the Universe?
T0M wrote “S*x with the Universe: Where We Came from, the Secret to Happiness, and the Meaning of Life” to share the Prime Hypothesis of re-ecreational theology:
Because the universe evolved to reproduce through our agency, we might find great joy, happiness, and meaning in helping it to fulfill that destiny.
In short, as T0M urges, "Have s*x with the universe!”
A more nuanced account would include a lot of caveats with that advice. You could write a whole book about it. So T0M did: S*x with the Universe.
What do the initials T.0. stand for?
The first one represents T.0. Morrow, all over again, so on and so forth. In this, the name draws inspiration from the self-recursive acronym GNU (for "GNU's Not Unix").
The number "0." in the middle of T0M’s name represents a variable, changeable according to whim and circumstance. It might for instance mean "0.5" at one time and "0.31415E1" (an approximation of pi in scientific notation) at another. T0M's middle initial is thus not the letter O (though it usually gets pronounced that way).
Want to know more about T.0. Morrow?
You won’t find him physically present in our universe. You can best understand T0M as a sort of artificial intelligence, albeit one that runs on a human brain rather than on a silicon computer. That means he has to rely on others to help him fulfill his life’s purpose: to teach the world about the Prime Hypothesis of re-ecreational theology and how Universal S*x might bring us closer to God.
So if you want to know more about T.0. Morrow, try understanding him from the inside out. Read S*x with the Universe. Follow his bold and creative approach to life’s mysteries. And, if you find his company divinely inspiring, join T.0. Morrow on our search for God.
